Do I need to refuel the car before returning it?

Most rentals follow a full-to-full fuel policy.

This means:

  • You pick up the car with a full tank
  • You return it with a full tank

If you don't refuel, the supplier will do it and charge you for the fuel plus a service fee. This can be expensive, so it's always worth filling up nearby before drop-off.
